Hello,
I am attempting to format and re install Windows 7 32b on an HP Stream 11 via USB bootable drive. The flash bulldoze is brand new(just purchased today) and was formatted and written using UltraISO. The ISO I accept is confirmed working on other install attempts on other devices.
I load upwardly, boot from the bulldoze and become to the "Install Windows" screen. Afterward it starts the setup, I have receive and fault "Required CD/DVD drive device is missing" and there are no options to install anything. I've done a skilful bit of research on this and tried several things, I'll become ahead and highlight them at present and then I get everything out of the mode in the OP
-equally said in the opener, flash bulldoze is fresh 8gb from Microcenter, ISO is good and was written using UltraISO -Confirmed I was using the correct 2.0 port(im aware w7 has issues installing from a 3.0 port) -Attempted to use command prompt and diskpart to start the install. When I use Listdisk, it shows there are no fixed disks to show. When I utilise Listing Partition it shows no partitions, and finally when i listing vdisk it doesn't show whatever virtual disks either. Very strange.
I think this might be my issue, simply i'd like it confirmed. The Drive IS a 3.0 bulldoze. The port is non, nonetheless. Is the fact that im using a iii.0 DRIVE an issue? I was hoping to get an respond before going out once again to get a 2.0 drive.
Looking forward to a quick response.
Thanks!(obviously if y'all accept any more questions experience costless to ask. Im pretty technically inclined, However I have not fooled effectually with USB windows installations likewise much)

Try rufus if you've got an ISO. Run across if it works
Does the notebook support UEFI?? If it does, 32 bit doesnt support information technology. Change it to legacy manner in the BIOS

Thanks for the advice. I practice indeed have legacy turned turned on, I should have put that in the highlights. Forgot nearly that. I'll endeavor Rufus and get back to you!

Well, just tried information technology with a usb 2.0 and still getting the same message. I'chiliad quite sure im doing everything correct, I've tried every prepare i could find. This appears to exist quite a big issue and its all over many help forums, merely everyone else seems to get it stock-still with having legacy enabled and making sure they are using a two.0 drive in a two.0 usb slot.
I even tried moving the drive to another port after clicking "cancel" at the screen where the error message is, as that was a new fix suggested that i'd found, and notwithstanding no go. I'm beginning to wonder if there'southward some crazy propietary crap on this HP Stream 11 that will just non allow me to downgrade to 7, as crazy as that sounds.
EDIT: http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-1728026/windows-installation-required-dvd-bulldoze-device-driver-missing.html Is what had the suggestion of trying different ports untill it works. I've only got 2 ports, ane three.0 and one 2.0 on this Stream 11. I've tried removing it several times and its just non working. Wanted to clarify that I'd tried this method in fully.
